Team Notorious!

Here are some pictures from 5/22/08. Thomas with a 26" 6# red caught on his Mojo with gulp shrimp and me with my biggest red of the day a 32 incher caught on a Mojo with gulp shrimp. I am also sending a pic of the green mojo that I actually caught that big red on, I think she must have hit the cork first as there is a chunk out of it! Didn't affect the performance though as I caught a couple more reds after the big one on that same set up. I weighed in a red for the bayou vista tournament hoping for lady angler of the day. 7.18lbs @ 27.5 inches but I got beat out by one just a hair bigger. Bet mine was the only one caught on a lure though, LOL!

Georgia Specks!

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour charter today for Miss Judy Charters. The water temp was 74° and stained. Wind was 15- 20 out of the Northeast. A coldfront had moved thru during the night. However we caught and released several Speckled Seatrout, Ladyfish and Spanish Mackeral. Lost a nice 4 foot bonnethead at the boat.
All fish were caught on the live Florida shrimp on the Inticer. These are not 2 of the same trout, notice one has a split tail. All trout were released but were in the 17 - 20 inch range.

Matagorda Speck on an Inticer!

Brian Morris and his son Tyler came in. We started the day drifting a big mud flat in East Bay. Our first fish of the day was a 26-inch 6-lb speck that Tyler caught(Bottom Picture). After that the wind cranked up, which took us away from the middle of the bay. I started making drifts along the south shore where we scratched out a few more fish for the box before heading in.

Tournament win!

A bad day for a fish but a great day for the Outcast. I fished a local club tournament today. It was a full day event. However, my fishing buddy could only fish untill noon. We managed to win for the largest "slot" redfish and took second overall on the 10 trout aggragate. All these fish were caught on the Outcast. I chose the Outcast today as I knew I would be on the trolling motor all day long and with the 20kt wind, I would need all the help I could get to put the bait in the right spot.I cant wait for the next trip.

On the RAGE!

I fished a 6 hour trip in the AM followed by a 4 hour trip in the PM. The water was very clear in the morning but muddied after the low tide. We caught fish untill the water clarity became poor and they shut off after that. All fish were caught on the Rage popping cork. Even the novice anglers were able to use these effectively.Tight Lines,

Pics from Capt. Eric

I finally managed to put the Outcast down and tried the RAGE for a change. We caught several nice fish througout the day but these last 2 were the best. This trout and flounder went 22+ inches. These are very nice fish for Georgia standards. You may notice, I slightly modified the RAGE by putting an extra split shot on the bottom of the wire below the beads. This allowed me to get better casting distance when the wind picked up. It also allowed the cork to stand in the verticle position despite the drag produced by the current and wind on the main line. I really like the sound the RAGE produces when popped. It sounds just like a trout gulping surface baits and the clicking beads mimicks the sound of a live fleeing shrimp. I cant wait to try these under the dock lights. "till next tide"

Midcoast boys went fishing!

Glynn & I got the opportunity to fish with Capt. Scott Reeh yesterday, Scott is the latest member of our Guide Team by the way. We drifted the North shoreline of West Matagorda bay throwing Inticers, Outcasts and Mojos with Gulp shrimp. We boxed 11 trout and one gafftop (Glynn's idea) and threw back a dozen or more dinks. Thanks Scott, we had a blast!!!

Matagorda!

I had Dave Lersner and his son Brad with me, and Bubba took out a group in Black Magic. Dave, Brad, and I headed to the north side of West Bay original intent on finding redfish but when we discovered that the birds were working, changed our game plan. I rigged them up with Black Magic under an Inticer cork while I threw a Mary C. The trout hammered us all morning. We came in at eleven with eleven trout in the box and had released dozens of under sized fish.

Bull Red on an Inticer!

Capt. Rick had an 8 hour charter today for Miss Judy Charters. The watertemp was 70° and very stained. Fished all the outgoing in a stiff 15+ knotwind out of the southeast. Caught some bluefish , trout, and redfish. Below is a picture of a 30 inch redfish that we had to release . The 4 people were unhappy that we had to let this fish go because he was over the limit by 7 inches. This was a beautiful red that had probably just arrived from the ocean. Shortly after we released this fish, the wind really picked up and we left the salt pond. This catch was a direct result of using an Inticer. The unique sound this float makes contributed to cathing this Redfish. The Water was stained and the fish honed in on the cork!
