Team Bendarod at it again!

The Reds are on Fire and in Wassaw Sound, as you can tell by one angler was high and dry waiting for the water to come in on his favorite drop. The Trout bite was good as well with the exception that the majority were running in the 10 and 12" range, but you should not have any problems in catching your limit on Reds. Capt. Jerry and myself Taged and released 3 nice Reds today as well as catching another Red that had been taged. That is 2 in back to back days and tages were in sinc as well #40258 and #40259. When catching a taged Red please call the DNR with the number on the tag, location and total lenght. This helps them in the study of how much the Red has grown and how far it has traveled. We also have to give mention that the Evolution and Outcast popping corks by Midcoast Products are the trick for having a sucessful day on the water. These corks can be purchase at Tybee Bait and Tackle, Adams Bait, River Supply and Coffee Bluff Marina. If you haven't tried them you are missing out on some of the most unique sounding popping corks made.

Team Bendarod & the Outcast!

Today was awesome due to the OUTCAST cork from Midcoast products and DOA Lures. Capt. Jerry and I battle winds today up to 25knots and some pretty heavy seas in Salt Pond in Warssaw Sound. We started out with 3 Nice Reds from 27-29 inches Taged and release. About 2 hours later Capt. Jerry caught a 25" Red that was already tagged. We are waiting to here back from the DNR as far as when and where the Red was first taged. Even thru rough seas and winds we finished the day with 10 Keeper Reds and 18 trout. Not a bad day for those conditions!! The DOA 3inch shrimp clear with red glitter was the hot color for the day on a 24 - 36" clear 20# mono leader underneath the OUTCAST popping cork.

We have been enjoying mild temps here in Savannah. The tides have been quite large all month. Today we fished a 9.1 foot tide in 63 degrees and a 15 kt wind. We got out this past weekend and scouted a few new drops. I think, I may have a new favorite. We used a live shrimp under the EVOLUTION popping corks to bring these fish to the boat. Sorry about the cell phone pic. Thanks Cork Guys!

The Dog strikes again!

Capt. Jerry Boaen Takes the Evolution Popping Cork made by Midcoast Products and has a Great Day on the water with his Charter Thursday. Ossabaw Sound was very muddy from the Spring Tides and Capt. Jerry decided to take his group to Warsaw Sound where they found some clear water and they proceded to put a whoppin on some nice Reds and flounder and a few trout. They moved around a lot but they found a school and stuck with them to have a very sucessful day. They also tag and released three Big Reds in the 30inch + range.

The "Georgia" Cork Guys

Warssaw Sound, The morning startered out with a heavy fog and lifted around 12:oo and we started out at Cabbage Island on the 1st half of the outgoing and were on the trout and reds like Donkey Kong. We finish the day out at Salt Pond using Mud Minnows, Shrimp, Mullet and DOA lures and found the fish bite just as strong. This upcomiong week will continue with spring tides, but you will find the water clear on the top of the high tide and midway, so don't let the tides discourage you from fishing as will be able to fishi some areas that you couldn't get to before... Happy Fishing!!!!

Team Bendarod / Savannah, GA

TEAM BENDAROD HAD A HUGE HIT WITH THE EVOLUTION CORK THIS PAST SATURDAY AS WE BATTLE SW WINDS WITH GUST UP TO 25 KNTS.

The EVOLUTION Cork was the main culprit in giving these two charters a great catch for the day. We would like to also thank Glynn and Lane for an awsome time in Savannah, Ga. It was great to meet the two anglers who design the corks of MIDCOAST PRODUCTS. You Guys are the greastest!!!!

Capt. Rick had a 3 person 6 hour charter today for Miss Judy. The watertemp was 70° and the air temp was low 80's with a strong Southwest wind. However the water was clear in most spots. They kept a few for a meal and released the rest. All were caught on live shrimp from Adams and the Inticer popping cork from Midcoast. They kept 7 trout, 1 redfish, 1 nice sheepshead. Released at least a dozen or more keepers. These guys were truly practicing conservation.

Lil' corks = Big Bass

My brother took a look at the "LIL MOE" and "LIL BIT" and just knew he could make those corks work for him. He's up in NY and it must be getting chilly looking at all the clothes they have on. He said they had a great day fishing from the bank reeling in fish after fish on these corks. He mentioned how he could get the casting distance he needed while keeping the bait in the strike zone as he was fishing from the bank. nice mess of fish! Thanks Cork Guys!

Cpt. Forshee

I have been fishing some this summer despite my busy schedule and the Outcast has played a big part in the success that I have had. The only thing that I don't like about the Outcast is that when I have to switch to a rig without a cork I don't feel like I can get a bait out of the boats shadow. Thanks again for making such a great product. I hope that this email finds ya'll well.

Cpt. Barlow

I had the pleasure of having Brandon J. on a guided trip friday. This is a trip we had planned a while ago, just was waiting for some good weather conditions.
Brandon arrived ready to go, so we left via Bayou Vista and headed out into west bay. It was a grind to say the least. We hit about 10 different spots with live bait freelined and on Midcoast Corks and it took us alot of time to slowly pick up some trout here and there. We definitely had a long day, but he left happy with more fish than he had caught in one day in a long time.
We had some decent fish, with the biggest trout going 4#s.
It was a very soft bite, not sure if it was the lack of water movement or the moon that caused such a light bite.
I have a few days available this month if anyones interested in booking a trip. Thanks!

The fish continue to come to the table here in Georgia. We are catching good numbers of flounder and trout. The redfish are plentiful but you really have to cull through the little ones. We are rigging with the Evolution popping cork and a mud minnow or live shrimp and even gulps. Tight Lines!

Little man wins with the Evolution

Today we fished a Slam tournament put on by the Fort McAllister sport fishing club in Richmond hill, GA. The ocean and surf were kicked up due to Hurricane bill passing to the east. The tides were HUGE today running at 9 feet. We were able to find some fairly clear (not mud) water and caught enough to take home the first prize. The little man got quite bored on the boat today but did manage to boat a few reds, drink several cokes, and eat every last snack on the boat. He is getting pretty good at throwing the EVOLUTION popping cork with a shorter leader than the rest of the team uses. He sure is proud when he can cast, hook set and reel in a fish. I'm glad we stopped when we did. My rain gauge said we got about 5 inches of rain in about an hour when we got back to the house. This whole place is drenched.

Georgia Outcast!

I went out the other day to try to hook a few. The wind was blowing pretty good so I chose to use the OUTCAST popping cork and a live shrimp. The trash fish are out there pretty thick. If you manage to get past them, you just might get a flounder to bite. I caught a few nice ones and tossed many more back. Another great day out on the water. Thanks Cork Guys!

Florida Rage!

Hey Guys, here are a couple pictures of some fish we caught this morning. The rage has been doing excellent, it has the long casts with the quite landing. This has been working well for the redfish here in Florida. We are going in the morning and I will let you know how we do. Thanks!

We went out for a while today dodging the thunderstorms. My buddy and his neighbor set out to wet a line. We were into the fish pretty good but had to work through the bluefish, ladyfish and rat reds. The highlight of the trip was when Brad had hooked a huge sheep head and fought it all the way to the boat when his reel came unscrewed from his rod seat and fell off. He handed it to me and I began to repair it. The other guy starts to hand line the fish in and the knot to the cork comes untied. The sheep head goes deep and then moved up behind the oyster rake. I made a cast at the EVOLUTION cork bobbing down the bank and my hook slid up the line and grabbed the wire at the base of the hook. To the boat the BIG fish comes. We got to argue all the way back on who really "caught" the fish. As you can see we had a very mixed bag including flounder , trout, sheep head, black drum...Tight Lines!

Goin Solo!

I can't remember when the last time I was able to take a solo trip. Today there were no clients, no children and only one person to worry about, me ( I did take my dog she didn't complain at all). I went out to scout a new area. I didn't even get stuck in the mud once. As I rode up a creek I took note at several "fishy" locations on the low tide with the plan to come back and fish them on the incoming. I turned back after a little exploring and work the grass and oyster banks for a few keeper trout and more small reds than you could ever want. The water temp was 85 and when the breeze quit at high water, it was time to head in for some AC. I used the EVOLUTION popping cork by midcoastproducts.com and even tossed the OUTCAST on a few occasions. No tangles and a great casting range. I caught trout, reds, and a few others in a few short hours. Tight Lines!

Georgia redfish!

I had the opportunity to get out on the water with an old friend and my kids. We used the EVOLUTION popping corks with a live shrimp for bait. Several small trout came took the bait. The sharks became aggressive often hitting the cork a few times prior to taking the bait. The kids got a kick out of that. Finally my old friend fought this redfish out of the marsh grass and to the boat. I'm looking forward to things picking up in the next couple of weeks.Tight Lines!

Georgia trout!

Capt. Rick went on a quick scouting trip today. Kept 12 nice trout to 22 inches. All caught with live shrimp from Adams and under an Inticer popping cork. Water was clear and the wind was mild. All fish caught on the last hour of the incoming and the first hour of the outgoing tide. You can call me direct at 912-844-8086 or call Miss Judy Charters. The fall trout run is going to start early. Thanks again guys!
