Glynn, the CEO of MidCoast Products poppin corks, joined me this morning to do a little scouting over in East Matty. As the sun was coming up I motored to the mouth of a drain leading to a back lake to find it loaded w/ bait. I eased the trolling motor into the water and put us in position to throw our SS Jrs into the scurrying baitfish. Right off the bat we were greeted w/ trout willing to take our offerings. After releasing numerous 12-14" trout, we had 8 in the box w/ Glynn having his personal best @ 4lbs according to the Boga! Not long after all the fun had begun, we were run off the water by some gale force winds and rain. Not bad for a morning ending at 8:30am

Evolution in Georgia!
I fished the local club tournament this weekend. The day started slow and the short trout and reds were eating up the bait supply in a hurry. I managed to get the short trout out of the way while my partner pulled in the fish that counted. He picked up a nice 3.5# trout which won the big trout division. All the fish were caught on the Evolution. We caught several large black drum, flounder, and more sheepshead which were released. We ended up going through 4 quarts of bait. We cut the trip off early due to the heat advisory and slow action. All in all a good day on the water. Thanks Cork Guys!

2cooler report!
Well hit the water about 5:30ish and to find out water looked great. Get to spot and put a new cork tha I've been hearing all about. I was very suprised that there is no wrapping around main line. Great cork. No trout but waters good, bait everywhere but no trout. I caught about 5 rat reds and this 26". The tide wasn't very good in the mornings right now. Dolphins were coming out of the water and jumping in the air probably 7 to 10 feet. Between the reds and dolphins it was a good day. Oh yeah, you guys out thier wading be carefull I seen probably a 5 or 6 foot blacktip today. Good luck and be careful!

Team Notorious in the Buff!
Here are some fishing pics for you from last Friday. We went down to the upper Laguna Madre to do some prefishing on Friday and Saturday for an upcoming tournament August 9th. We found a few good fish and I got some nice "in the water" action shots of an oversize red that Thomas caught. She measured at 29 1/2 inches. My trout was 5#, 25 inches although doesnt look it in the picture. Both were caught on the Evolution cork with a gulp shrimp. Once the wind got up on Friday we really needed the distance and noise of the corks on those open flats. They worked well! This was my first time throwing the Evolution and I have to tell you, I like it. Thomas has been telling me, you have to try one of these!!! He was right! We have thrown the Mojo and the Inticer with success (as you know) but the Evolution rocks! Great distance and no bending of the wire. We use braid and normally the wire on other corks brands will bend and then wrap the line after just a few casts. Not so this time! I used the same Evolution the whole time we were down there and it's still ready to go for the next trip.
Thomas and I say thanks for a fine product!

Customer comment
Captain Scott Reeh really worked hard to put us on some fish on a day that turned out not to be fruitful for others. The conditions were not right for fishing and other guides would use that as an excuse, but Captain Scott gave his best effort and put us on some fish. He was really good with the seven year old we brought along and made him top priority. Noah (the seven year old), continually brought in Reds almost as big as him! It was a banner day for Captain Scott’s crew and I definitely will be using his services again. We caught all our fish using Midcoast Products "Evolution" corks and live shrimp.
