Capt Jerry and I fished the Alee Shiners Tournament today for Cripple Children's Hospital; conditions were tough as we battled 15 to 25kt winds out of the NE as well as thunderstorms all day. The tournament consisted of a 5 fish weigh in of two Reds and three Trout. We started out with a mission after loading up our mouths the night before at the Captains Meeting boasting of going to place in the top 3 and having the biggest Red at weigh in (This was all done of course after having a few Budweiser's and catching a little rousing from friends about our Midcoast Cork Necklaces). When we arrived this morning at one of our drops we were questioning ourselves if the Evolution Cork would perform as well as last Saturdays tournament due to conditions of the wind and elements of this tournament and plus all the bragging that we had done at the Captains Meeting. So with that there was no doubt that we would put the Evolution to the test. By 9am Capt Jerry had already landed two Reds that we knew would put us in contention as long as we had three decent size Trout to go with them by weigh in. Well we caught the Trout that we needed after battling winds and rain all day and to our surprise as well as our relief we did come in 3rd Place. And Capt Jerry "Dog Bendarod Bounty Hunter" missed having the largest Red by 4oz. The Evolution Cork was again successful in some of the worst conditions that we have fished in this year. Thanks for the Innovative Evolution Cork as it helped us back our mouths up.
