Team Bend a Rod/Midcoast Products

Lane and Glynn,
Captain Jerry Boaen and I fished a local tournament today in Savannah consisting of 109 anglers benefiting the Georgia Special Olympics, whichraised $7000.00. We had both brought five rods each with various corks on them. We decided to start off with the EVOLUTION and couldn't have made abetter choice. I made a cast and as soon as I popped the cork, BAM!!! a 23 inch Red hit. The unique sound that the cork made was so similar to a fleeing bait fish that it was everything I could do to keep Jerry from jumping in the water wanting to eat that cork himself. In Georgia the slot is 14"-23" with a creel limit of 5 on Reds. The tournament was a total weight of three Reds per angler, within 4 hrs. we were actually throwing back 19-21 inch Reds having already caught our 3 Reds each. To make a long story short, we took 3rd and 4th place and also caught the Red with the most spots (14). The Red with the most spots won a special edition CCA G-Loomis Rod. Jerry and I had made a necklace with three Midcoast Corks for the Captains Meeting Friday night and Saturday at the weigh in. We were quite the buzz and raised a lot of conversation about Midcoast Products. I have to mention that by the end of the weigh in they were calling us the "Cork Guys" hope you don't mind. The Evolution was the only cork that we used all day, man what a cork! Thanks for everything!

Captain Jim Edenfield
