Wall Hanger caught with Run-N-Gun

Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday we had Jimmi, Tony and Lynn out drift fishing with us. Tuesday afternoon we left the harbor about 6pm, the bite turned on about an hour before dark and Tony landed a couple nice trout over 20 inches. The conditions weren't perfect, but we found some good water up near the shore and that's where we found the fish. Wednesday morning we woke up and the wind was pumping out of the west over 20mph as we headed back into the bay. We started off where we had left them biting the afternoon before with not much luck. Drifted the shoreline looking for good water and really didn't find anything we liked. Had a few good bites but only one red in the box, broke for lunch at River Bend then headed back out to give it one last try. Bounced around a few reefs and only boxed one more keeper red. The guys were ready to call it a day and we said decided to make one last stop by a reef before heading in. Tony's line hit the water and in no time, cork down, fish on!! When he finally got it up to the boat we realized how big it was and scrambled for the net. Once we got her in the boat and on the boga, she went a little over 8lbs, 28 1/2 inches long, with a girth of 14 1/8 inches that carried pretty much all the way down. It was the biggest trout Tony had ever caught and he decided that we wanted to get her mounted. We took a bunch of pictures and called it a day, what a way to end it!!!!
